Today Benjamin Schwarz from the local SGI group came over, and tossed me a copy of Nichiren Diashonen's translation of the Lotus Sutra. An aspect of Soka Gakkai that I will probably never understand is why chant in Japanese (or any language at all. I thought 'Om' was supposed to be okay ;-)). Ohwell, it will be good practice for my Japanese skizzilz as it's 30 pages of tough kanji and complex grammar...And I have to memorize it.

So today we did Gongyo, much to the amusement of my roommate (who was in the kitchen, finally washing his dishes).
