Pardon the lack of updates

My friend David and I were sitting in the hot tub the other night, talking For Real.

"Do you think your decision to never have children is maybe selfish?"

It's been a long time since I've had friends like this, and I'm going to miss it. In two weeks, I am once again pulling up roots. This time, I'm moving to San Diego, California, to take a new job (more pay plus more sun make Reid something-something).

Moving is a stressful process. This move is somehow far more taxing than my jaunt to Europe...dealing with the politics of changing government positions, actually having to move everything I own (I guess I'm old enough that I can't use my parent's houses for storage any longer) and talking to balance a blossoming relationship are all terrifically taxing. I'm cycling again, at least, 5-6 days a week. I feel like I'm actually prepared to ride 100 miles now, unlike a few weeks ago when I actually did it. At least this time I have accrued some rather sizable financial resources for the move. It should be fairly comfortable.

In any event, this is going to be an interesting trip. Like Wang, I hope to find happiness...
